Bavaria 34 2000 - Lower Steps

I am intending to replace my impeller and assume this is is doable without removing the lower steps albeit a bit tight ? I tried removing all the screws holding in the lower steps but still couldn't remove.In case I need to remove, any suggestions please.

It should come out if you have removed the long selftappers that hold it in. It is probably a tight fit, particularly at the bottom so might need a bit of persuasion. Pulling forward and lifting should shift it.
