One of the few things the great Bavaria expert and all round celebrity Tino has not done a video on is maintaining the steering!
I can pretty much guarantee mine hasn't been touched since it was new judging by the state of other parts of the boat - so it's now nearly 20 years without a service.
It does all look in rather good condition, and does feel very smooth.
- Unscrew the compass to gain access to the top of the wheel.
- Rotate the wheel and clean the chain with WD40?
- Regrease the chain with marine grease? Or some Light oil?
- Check cable and oil cable with light oil?
