Selden telescopic Pole

Hi Folks

Would the Selden 72mm Medium Telescopic Pole 072-072-61 be ok for a Bavaria 34 for use of poling out the genoa or using the cruising chute

Pole datasheets here: http://www.seldenmast.com/files/excerpts/595-808-E-142-142.pdf

For poling out the whole Genoa in light airs, your pole at maximum extension should be about as long as the L/P measure of your Genoa. That's 150% on the J&J Bavarias. Too short and you won't get maximum effect DDW or have to partially furl the sail.

The table above also has a boat displacement value as guidance for sizing. Based on that the medium one should be about right, but check the length above.
