Outlet 12V plug on Bavaria 770 panel
« on: January 08 2016, 11:11 »
Good Morning

New owner of Aquarius a 770.

The electrical panel has a socket for a external load and I cannot see what sort of male plug it needs.

I think they are standard across most of the range.

Can anyone advise the type of plug I need?

Thanks

Robin

Got a photo? It is possibly a "cigarette lighter" socket, a real shame that these became a standard on cars, and thus boats.

And in case it isn't a standard cigarette lighter socket, it's most likely an ISO 4165 socket. This is a little known standard that while technically slightly superior never really took off. It's smaller, doesn't slip out on its own and actually designed for connecting accessories, rather than for heating a wire coil so you can light tobacco in your car without an open flame. The only reason it still exists at all is because it's widely used in BMW motorcycles. You can get an adapter for it, or simply replace it. Some accessories also have combination plugs (identifiable by the notch and pointy tip, 2nd from the right in below picture).

When you type a message, there's a link underneath the message box which says "Additional Options" - click on that, and you'll see "Attach" - click on the "Browse" button, find the picture in your computer, then click on it.
