Backstay Adjustment
« on: April 13 2015, 11:07 »
My 2002 BAVARIA 36 has a 6 to 1 pulley block that is very difficult to adjust.

Other posts elsewhere indicate that 12 to 1 blocks were sometimes fitted.
However I cannot find a supplier for these systems.

Any help appreciated !

Our 2002 b36 has 6 part purchase on the back stay and when miles away from help I would not like to put any extra tension on it. It will work better if you thread the rope so that it does not rub together and oil the pulleys. I notice that many of the new boats now on sale do not have any adjustment.
