Transom Door Lifter Replacement (2009)
« on: March 25 2015, 11:34 »
I have responded to the lifter questions in the repairs and problems section so I thought that s it is a good modification thought I would post it here too.
Due to the failure of one electric transom ram, decided to remove both and replace it with a pulley system. Advantages of this are, no electrical parts to take on water and fail, much easier to repair, quicker and smooth operation, I could go on. Following are photos of the modification. I also have a spare slightly used ram if anyone is interested too!

Hi

I have just purchased 31 cruiser 2009 and noticed the Rams hD been disconnected although both
work well.
The previous owner fitted the pulley system as he said the rams were so slow.
I must admit the pulley system is simple and if course fast so I have decided to leave as it is.
