Shower tray round insert

 The round moving shower tray insert in the forward heads of my Bav 39 is driving us nuts because it keeps shooting out when you go to sit on the throne!!! Also when having a shower, apart from throwing it overboard has anyone found a best way of securing it firmly?

Ours moved a bit due to a split in one of the two rubber stops meant to hold it in place. This has been replaced (£2) and is now more secure but still not a good design - pigs ear and silk purse comes to mind

I was after two for my fifty, been waiting twelve months hear back from Bavaria re the teak shower grates which, collapsed with time Iam guessing, so I now have my joiner friend on a mission to replicate a couple for me, unless someone here knows where I could get a couple and a price.

Dawntreader, one of mine had a split in it aswell but I found that forward heads moulding has a slightly bigger recess for the insert to go in than the aft heads. The inserts are same size though and that is the problem - the forward heads insert can move. Used some strips of hatch sealant to make it fit snugly in the recess and that seems to have improved the situation.

Well I looked up the site as advised and found them, great except the price, like ?458 plus each, so I spoke with John McEldrew of McEldrews in Ring Rd Ballarat Victoria Australia and guess what Iam now the very proud owner of three such shower bases absolutely identical as the Bavaria originals in every way all for the fantastic price of AU$420 for the three woo hoo, now that's ?277 for the three, so yep that's a great price! If you need them this is where to go, postage was also genuinely cheap.

I appreciate that this may be somewhat more expensive, but it is a permanent cure to the flawed design from Bavaria. And I think the end result looks far better
Solution: teak grates made to fit (the carpenter has all the measurements already).

Hi,
 I found a solution today to avoid nasty sound when putting a foot on the tray.
I have sticked a window seal on the wooden side, below and in some places around.
It prevent from making noise and moving when putting a foot on it.
