Chain plate sealing

Dear All,
After unstepping the mast I figured out some leakage around chain plate (picture attached).
It does not look so bad, but mast is down and it is best time to deal with this until it corroded even more.
What is best sealant to use here? I like butyl, but it looks like it was sealed with some hard sealant like sikaflex and I'm not sure butyl will work well under high load. From other hand it looks like it leaks via bolts and not via plate-deck connection, so maybe it just requires sealing bolts with butyl?
Any practical advise? Does anyone did this?

Fit new bolts. Seal them in with either butyl or Sika 291i

I did with butyl and no leaks since then.

Thanks Folks!
Ailatan, did you resealed with butyl only bolts or whole surface between plates?
If whole surface, was it difficult to disassemble after unscrewing the bolts?
I suppose plate was sealed with sika or epoxy, so I suppose it may be not easy to disconnect...

I have done the same job on our previous 1990’s Bavaria 300. I am used to apply Sika sealants at all times. Sealed of the mounting plates on the inside and outside in full as well as every bolthole, making sure complete watertightness.. It held at least for 20 years, till we sold this boat…

I removed both plates, top and bottom, cleaned everything, removed the rust from the bolts, stain the countertop in the process, fixed the top plate with MS35 and used butyl in the bolts.
I think there are pictures somewhere in this forum.
