Eventually, the day will come where my D2-55 will need replacement or a complete overhaul, and I would like to have a plan in my pocket.
Currently, the engine is running fine, despite its 4,800 hours on the clock.
The question is whether I would want to wait until it has an issue or be on the safe side and have it overhauled before it breaks.
I don't trust the guys in Italy in the marina where my boat is located to do the job.

I am thinking that I would remove the engine and have it shipped to a trustworthy service partner in Germany.

Can anyone recommend a VP specialist that would either overhaul an engine or provide an overhauled replacement in exchange?

Ich habe immer beste Erfahrungen mit Carl Baguhn in Hamburg gemacht und würde diese Firma vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

Plus eins für Carl baguhn. Deutscher vp Importeure. Hat das ersatzteillager im Haus. Ich durfte dort mal ein Seminar machen. Bei allem was zu sehen war, die wissen was sie tun
