Replacing incandescent bulbs with LED
« on: May 28 2023, 14:31 »
I have a 2004 Bavaria 32 and want to replace the incandescent 12 bulbs in the cabin with LEDs. They look like G4s but i think the pins are slightly shorter and thicker. Any ideas on this would be helpful.

These are just fitting in a 30 cruiser 2007. Bulbs are longer. I didn't measure the pins.

I replaced the original bulbs with LED’s but they started to go loose luminance. I then replaced the complete fitting with Dimmable LED fittings- they’re so much better than the originals & easy to fit/ wire.

On our 1999 35E the fixtures were replaced with LED's by the previous owner, but I thought the 9 diode lights in the salon were too bright except for 2 lower ones for reading.  I bought some insanely inexpensive 6 diode ones on LightIntheBox.com and they've worked faithfully for 7 years now.  Good luck.

I am going to replace the one in the chart table for this one

The good point is that with the same bulb and the same switch you can choose between white and red light which is fine when you are sailing at night
