Installing blowers in engine compartment

Hi to all ,
I would like your opinion on the idea of installing a blower in engine room . The reason is to help the boat cool down the hot summer days in the Med , by extracting the heat of the engine room outside . I ve seen in many boats it is a factory install .

My boat has a factory-fit blower, mounted above the engine, with the intake at the top.  The hot air goes through 100mm flexible ducting to one side of the transom.  Another 100mm duct goes from the other side of the transom to underneath the engine, to bring ambient air in.

The blower is a standard Rule In-Line Blower.  However, interestingly it's a 24v version, not a 12v version.  This may be to minimise noise, as the blower runs all the time the engine is on.

We retrofitted a blower. Simple piece of 100mm duct up one of the engine room vents to the cockpit, blowing hot air out. Keeps the engine room below 40°C on hot days with too much motoring. Before it got ridiculously hot in there. It's bloody loud though, so maybe should fit a 24V version too! :)

What do you both mean with the 24v version of the blower ? That the blower will run lower rpm cause of low voltage ? Why not to buy with less CFM but 12v ?

Rule don't offer a 100mm blower with less CFM.
