Wine Rack?

Hello: I've recently purchased a 2002 Bavaria 32 and found what looks like a wine rack or perhaps a chart tube holder lying about. I've looked around the boat interior and am not sure where this goes. It does say starboard on it.  Any ideas are most welcome

On our boat with similar age (B40 - 2001), similar plywood wine rack is installed with plate horizontally in STB side cabinet enabling bottles to stay apart and upright.

The only photo I have of the area is attached with said cabinet highlighted.

Have also been considering making similar bilge-installed horizontal wine racks as many French designs have.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to go aboard and have another look. I wasn't thinking of a vertical bottle holding option but that makes sense. The bilge storage suggestion also makes sense as there's lots of room and they're nice and dry.  Cheers!

Thanks. My 32 only has a locker under the chart table. The other alternative is beneath the starboard settee. More investigation required

our 1999 35E has the same wine bottle holder set horizontally in the starboard locker by the chart table (same area as that picture on the 40').  There's also a lifting center panel in the middle of the salon table with wine storage.  It all gets used!!  Although, admittedly a few of the slots are used for stemless wine glasses.

Thanks for that. I don't have a cabinet like the B40, but it seems to fit under the starboard settee forward of the battery bank. Yes, the compartment under the table (and the bilge) will also soon be full of spring and summer libations!
