Air conditioning duct work
« on: July 21 2021, 21:53 »
I'm installing air conditioning in my 2004 Bav 44.  It's time to run the duct work.  What size ducts do people have installed out there?
4" ID ducting is actually 6" in diameter.  Most of the bulkhead cutouts in my boat are 5".  Is 4" ID kind of standard?  My Dometic installation kit came with 6" ducting which is almost 8" in diameter.  I can't imagine it would fit very well in my boat.

My 16K AC unit has a 6" outlet which I was planning to split into two 4" hoses (one to the forward cabin and one for the main cabin).
I don't think I have much more room than than.

Thoughts folks???
