Fridge control knob Seized
« on: June 05 2013, 17:05 »
Anybody ever replace the control knob on the friggo firdge unit ?  I understand these controllers are prone to seizing up.  Any sources for new controller?

Look at "RANCO Thermostats" on ebay. They sell them all over. About 15 to 20 Euro. Also check their website for different models. Ranco makes thermostats for about all fridges on this planet.
Good luck

Have you tried WD40? It worked for me.

Both the thermostat and the evaporator fan seized up in my case. The thermostat was just a WD40 job but the fan had to be replaced. A quick search of the internet found the manufacturers website (sorry, I forget the name) and their website steered me to RS to buy the new fan (about £25 inc postage and VAT).
