S 130 öl drain screw dimension and material
« on: November 14 2020, 19:50 »
Hello everyone,

I wanted to drain oil of s 130 saildrive by loosening screw at bottom.  If I can loosen at all i would like to replace it. VP charges 25 bucks and i wonder if it is standard size and material.

Does anyone know by chance including seal ring?

You can just measure the threads when you have it out. I believe on some models the original screw has a small magnet in it, to capture metal particles from wear, which increases the lifespan of the shaft seals.

The seals are just an o-ring or fibre-washer depending on the model.
