shore power issue

Shore power is working fine on my r40 when i turn to switch on "LAND" position, but every time i turn the battery switches ON for lighting/water systems IO, interior;  the shore power goes off immediately, so all the 230V power points, appliance  are off.

i have no problem running everything(230v, lighting, etc) on generator.

any idea what the problem might be?

Does the same thing happen if your battery systems are already switched on before your shore shore power is switched on?

I would think that there is some connection between your generator powered mains system and the shore powered mains system that is causing the residual current device (RCD) to trip. I have no formal training in 230 volt electrics, and I’m hoping that someone else from the forum better versed in electrics will take up on this thread. Arguably a possible source of problems could even exist between the way that your boat 230 volt systems are earthed and the way that Marina power supplies are earthed, with a possible connecting medium being the water surrounding your boat. Either way I would be inclined to call in someone trained in marine electrical systems and who is also familiar with Marina electrical systems to thoroughly examine, find, and correct your problem. In the meantime I would suggest that you do not connect the shore power line until the problem has been found and removed. Apart from the obvious dangers to people, stray currents from your boat can have disastrous and very expensive consequences to your underwater fittings.

Marine electrician came over and checked, shore power, pedestal, cord, are all fine.
the problem seems to be coming from control panel. i'm not able to switch on anything on the 230v page from the control panel

r40, Not being familiar with the vessel power set up, if you have a generator for running 230Vac when not connected to shore power it is possible that the issue is due to the generator earth and the shore power earth are not tied together (connected) this would cause the RCD to trip as there would be a floating earth voltage. This would explain why the shore power all checked fine. Get a licensed electrician who has experience with generators and hybrid power systems to check it.
