Replacement Anchor light bulb
« on: July 22 2020, 16:29 »
HI All,

Anchor light on Bavaria Ocean 1999 is not working.
If it is a simple bulb replacement, does anybody know what type of light bulb i need ot buy ( or where i can find this spec)?
I would prefer having the correct light bulb so that we can replace it in one go and avoid having to go up the mast again.

Once at it , i would like to also replace the Steaming light bulb with an LEd light.

Simon,

I can't be sure about your anchor light bulb but generally, they are all the same.

Just take out the stern light bulb abnd wither buy te same or buy an equivalent LED.

Can’t guarantee it as you may not have the original lamp fitting still in place but the use bay15d bulbs such as this led version https://boatlamps.co.uk/products/bay15d-18-smd-5050-led-bulbs-for-navigation-lights.
As to replacing the steaming light, I’ve not bothered as when I need it I’m running the engine and therefore don’t have any power concerns.  When it blows, I’ve got a (hopefully) correctly sized led to replace it....
