You need to get somebody to do the calculations as different props may require different sizes. For example my 33 with a D1 30 had a 16813 fixed from the factory, but the flexoFold is a 16*11. Changing pitch needs new blades which are half the price of a prop!

A good volvo dealer who sells the props may be able to advise. You should be aware that Volvo folding props are not the best - well known for eating anodes. A 2 blade FlexoFold from Darglow iss an altogether better proposition.

+1 for the Flexofold 2 blade folder on my B37 D1-30.

Having used the standard prop for 6 months before fitting the Flexofold the difference was amazing both in terms of top speed, sailing speed up and dramatic improvement in manoeverability to get into my tight berth forwards or in reverse.

Do you recall the size of your prop?

Just looked it up. It is 17x11 2 blade left hand.

I have a bav37 with three blade folding Volvo, not sure of the pitch but my engine revs out to 4K if you let it.  3k is nudging 6 knots!  Would you say it needs more pitch?
Cheers Richard

What engine do you have? The smaller engines will not reach 4K. 20X0 types are 3600 and D1 are 3200.

Please be aware Darglow supplied me with a folding prop for my previous Konsort .It was around 8months old when I changed my boat .They offered me pocket money as an exchange against another prop. Saying they would only use it for spares. I was not impressed and would never use them again. I had a Volvo 3 bladed prop fitted to my D130 and to date have found it works well and for me was no better or worse than Darglow featherstream . I am happy hat the prop is supplied by Volvo to fit a Volvo saildrive . As for pitch I do not know but Volvo supplied and fitted I assume the correct size. Regarding the anode I change it once a year but to be honest it would probably do 2 or 3 years .
