I have recently bought a 1998 Bavaria 38 holiday--my first yacht. I wanted to check on some of the wiring behind the electrical panel next to the chart table. I can undo all the screws that hold the assembly but then cannot find a way to fully withdraw the panel. The seat arm gets in the way and the fibreglass molding behind the panel is just too high to allow the panel to be lifted over the seat arm. Has anyone found a clever way of doing this? I don't want to mess about with removing any of the wood if I can avoid it but at the moment it seems the only option. Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.
