Do you mean the impeller cover? if so, and you can't find one, the SpeedSeal system comes with a compatible replacement

Another vote for replacing it with a Speedseal. Far superior to the plain cover.

Here is mine, its great, impeller life is extended as well mine is on its 3rd season .

That sounds good to me . Can you tell me where I can purchase one of these.  Am I assuming it is a complete new pump or just the impeller cover.

Mail order from www.spedseal.com. It is just the cover, but unlike the simple brass plate it is machined solid and most importantly rather than the silly little screws (that either break of get lost) it has big thumb screws and just slides on and off. The seal is with a na O ring rather than a paper gasket. The upgraded model also has a plastic ring inside that enables the impeller to run even if dry - an extra precaution.

Just to add it only takes about 20 mins to fit and to replace an impeller takes less than that oncw fitted.
