has anyone puchased and used a new prop for their bavaria.I am wonderring about changing mine to a Kiwi or Gory prop?

I use a Bruntons Autoprop and I'm pleased with it's performance... very little prop walk and good response when shifting from forward to reverse.

We have a Brunton's auto prop, very happy with it vis a vis manoevering, and thrust. I would post an image if I could work out how to do it! (But I guess everyone knows what they look like).

In case you didn't know, at least on our 1999 Bavaria 34, Bavaria sourced their own props, rather than buy from Volvo.
We had a failure, in that the Bavaria version inner hub was displaying too much play and causing more vibration that we were used to, and instead purchased a Volvo one, with just slightly different size and pitch (but very near). It has worked well since, though now just beginning to show some signs of play, after 8 years and about 10,000 miles.
Cheers ......

I have a FlexoFold 2 blade folding prop on a 2001 37. Performance under motor virtually identical to fixed prop.

We changed our 2 bladed fixed prop for a 3 bladed kiwi feathering prop last winter on our 2007 Bavaria 37 and I can really notice the difference under power and especially in reverse as the power is instant. We also notice a slight performance under sail and now no need to drop the throtle into reverse when the engine is off as the prop is feathered and does not spin making that noise the fixed one did.
The kiwi was very easy to fit and I'd recomend it to anyone.

I just received my new kiwi prop in the mail from New Zealand and looking forward to installing it. It looks like a very well made prop and the design seems very robust and simple. After I splash in a few weeks I'll post a review.
