I am not very satisfied with the cockpit seats on my 2002 B40. The forward edges to the cabin are rounded and this prevents leaning the back against the cabin. On other boats this is my favourite position on the achorage and underway. Has anybody a good solution for nice cockpit seats on older Bavarias? Peter

Yep. Turn around. ;)
To make it even more comfortable bought two adjustable "floor chairs": https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01AAC3KHM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If its not comfortable where you're sitting then you're probably sitting in the wrong place.
Odd you bought a boat that you find uncomfortable.
Try sitting behind the wheel and steering the boat, that might be more enjoyable

We have exactly the same seats. They offer a nice backrest and you are still in the cover of the sprayhood.
