Hello all,
My boat is a 2006 and she did not have an AP fitted.
I have purchase a Raymarine AV200 kit
And a Lewmar integral motor and chain kit.
I have fitted the drive motor, pretty easy as the boat was
Designed for this set up. But I am wondering where to
Hook up the rudder sensor? A photo from a similar model
Would be greatly appreciated, and any tips on locations for
The control unit and gyro.
My steering is chain to a bevel box, with a radial rack below
Which I believe drives a quadrant with rods to the rudder shaft
With a tiller. It is not a cable set up.
I am in Sydney Australia
Cheers Richard

Wow, thanks Simon!
I had a look in that area today, that picture certainly fill in the spaces for me, thanks again. So you have a linear drive, is that favoured over the rotary drive type? I bought a lewmar drive kit complete with chain for mine, it fitted in on the AP sprocket and 4 stud mount perfect. I am guessing you fitted your set up yourself, so where did you mount your motion sensor and control unit? I am tracing the original wiring from helm station to the saloon area, and hoping I can route my cables through that passage, fingers crossed?

Richard,
The Autohelm was factory fitted by Bavaria so the photos show how they did it, the rudder sensor is mounted to the top black arm with etc small linkage.

Richard,
Glad you got it fitted, just looks like how the factory would do it.
