2 nights ago we were hit by a 350T Hotel Boat, which was trying to leave the quay in strong cross winds. Fortunately damage was light, but amongst other things one of our Gate Stanchions is bent.
The base dim is 310mm c/c tube. The standard seems to be 300mm. Where can I get a same size replacement?

Bavaria has launched a website for spare parts at www.bavariaplus.de The gate stanchion should be https://www.bavariaplus.de/en/produkt/view/ahJlfmJhdmFyaWFwbHVzLXZpdXJyFAsSB3Byb2R1a3QYgICAgMC12wgM/? (https://www.bavariaplus.de/en/produkt/view/ahJlfmJhdmFyaWFwbHVzLXZpdXJyFAsSB3Byb2R1a3QYgICAgMC12wgM/?)
You cannot order directly from that Bavaria website but only look for the relevant spare parts. Bavaria cooperates with with one of the larger German retailers SVB and you can order online (www.svb.de (http://www.svb.de) or www.svb24.com (http://www.svb24.com)). You should find the gate stanchion you are looking for at https://www.svb24.com/en/bavaria-boarding-railing-bracket.html (https://www.svb24.com/en/bavaria-boarding-railing-bracket.html) The prices are far from cheap but I have some spare parts there which I have not found anywhere else.
Most (if not all) parts of the railing were produced by Pfeiffer Marine. They have a catalogue of their products online (http://www.pfeiffer-marine.de/sites/produkte/pfeiffer_beschlaege.pdf (http://www.pfeiffer-marine.de/sites/produkte/pfeiffer_beschlaege.pdf)) but there is no picture of a gate stanchion in the current catalog (page 71). Also, for example the toe rail on your Bavaria is not the same as displayed in the catalog. Bavaria ordered with a slight modification. Therefore, I am not sure that even if Pfeiffer Marine offers the relevant gate stanchion it will fit.

That looks like the kind of bend that a good stainless worker should be able to straighten out for you. Of course if someone else is paying, I'd go for a new gate too ;-)

Hi
"... 310mm c/c tube. The standard seems to be 300mm..."
Could it be.
300mm is close enough ?

Thanks for the help.
I've found a supplier of Bav parts in Athens, which is near us & he has what we need in stock at prices significantly cheaper than SVB.

Hi John, did you physically find the Athens parts supplier or is he online. Either way his contact details would be appreciated for later use.

Online- Nomicos Yachts, who seem to be the Bav agent. The chap responded by return, as did SVB.
Still nothing from Clipper- why am I not surprised!
