Title: Locker Door stays- B39 2006
Post by: Lazy Pelican on October 04 2016, 13:35
Does anyone know where I can get replacement locker door stays (see photo), or suggest an alternative?

Thanks,

John

They can be purchased here (but they are not cheap to ship). I was lucky and was in La Rochelle. The price is per item despite what the picture implies  :o

More recent models use a stainless (?) wire restraint, which may be more durable.  Might be worth asking about these.

A bit of string should do?

Clipper marine supplied my replacement stays as per original - can't remember the  price.

I only have one such locker on my boat but I use a stainless braided wire stay on it. Looks good, much thinner and less obtrusive than the stays in the photo. Best of all very cheap and "spares" are easily carried in the form of a small coil of the stainless braid with a few cup washers and stainless steel self tappers.....
