Two Australians bought a 2002 Bav 44, Ex Charter boat in Croatia ( Karma Waters)  in 2010 and after a year in the med, sailed the Atlantic, part way down the Brazilian Coast, back to Panama, over to Easter Island, across to Chile, then south around the island of Cape Horne, back across the Pacific to Australia where they sold it.

I suspect that more Bavarias then we hear about travel around Cape Horne.
