If your tank is not full, you could open the inspection hatch in the tank en see if your level sensor is not stuck in the topside. Sometimes a little piece of dirt in the tank makes it for the level sensor to be stuck in top position.
On our previous Bavaria, we had a vdo levelsensor and on this one the float and the levelpotentio meter got detached, also displaying the same level at all times..

From my experience, usually the problem is with the level gauge.

Hello,

My fuel gauge is permanently indicating full.

I have checked power to the gauge and the function of the gauge.

I have a Road type sender. There is power to the sender.

When I disconnect the sender the gauge indicates empty.

If I reconnect the sender and turn on the system, I cannot measure any resistance between the signal wire (yellow) and any of the other 5 wires in the cable.

Any idea where I go from here ?

I am replacing the drop down perspex cockpit hatch with a pair of side hung  wooden doors.  I would like to have a similar  lock  and interior catch as before  but don't want to  use the existing  as the doorsare much  thicker at 3 cm. Trying to avoid separate hardware for inside and outside. Hopefully someone knows the answer

Just look at the wires coming out of your drive unit. Most have one pair for the motor and one pair for the clutch. If there's no other wires, there's no position sensor.

Thank you. Yes, you are quite correct.
However, the system actually works most of the time. Also the autopilot accepted a rudder recalibration and consistently indicates the rudder position on the helm control (GHC 50).
For these reasons I’m sure that there is already a rudder feedback sensor in the system. I’ve had a look and I can’t see anything obvious (such as the Garmin device already mentioned).
This makes me think there is a sensor built into the drive unit.
Can anyone shed light on this situation ?

If your drive unit is not from Garmin (which have the feedback sensor integrated), then you need to add the GRF 10 rudder angle sensor.
