Title: Looking for some RL70C Plus Tuition Port Solent or near please
Post by: Roissy on August 11 2016, 16:23
Just bought my first boat Bav 37 and my Day Skipper Tickets didnt go beyond pencil and rubber and number one eyeball on navigation.

Does anyone know of some courses or help to get me started local'ish to Port Solent.

The manual does seem to presume some prior knowledge lol

Any help gratefully received

Thanks

Hi Roissy

Welcome to the forum! Talk to the guys at Southern Sailing, they're local(ish) at Bursledon and are absolutely number one. Brilliant school and should be able to fit teaching around whatever you need. When they were training me, stuff was included like sailing up to a mooring buoy (e.g. engine failure), warping out of a marina (e.g. without waking other boat crews), basically stuff that makes you think about good seamanship and just makes you think. Priceless.

Good luck...   :tbu :tbu :tbu
