Title: Buy a Bavaria - UPDATE
Post by: SofiaB on December 11 2015, 03:34
Starting a new post because I just ordered a new Bavaria Vision 46.  I've read, studied, researched and worn out my mouse searching why I should not buy one.  There are mixed reviews but I guess I'm a trend setter because there may be 3 others in the Great Lakes, USA.

So, please ease my pain while I await my boat.  Did I make a mistake???   Thanks, Stuart

How about a Frenchie, i.e. this one  --->  http://www.jeanneau.com/boats/Sun_Odyssey_44_DS.html

or the bigger 50 ft.

Had a Jeanneau SO33i; loved it.  Just liked the Bavaria a little more.

Congratulations on purchasing the Bavaria Vision 46, it's a beautiful boat and one that you will enjoy sailing, don't worry you made a good choice in my humble opinion. I don't have one I have the 37 but the hull design is the same and I am pleased with my boat. Enjoy  :) :)

If you do have a problem with your new boat, it will probably not be a Bavaria part. It is the add ons that cause problems. We have had issues with the Lewmar Auto-helm ( but their work in remedying the problems were great) the Raymarine Radio ( replaced twice under warrenty) and the hot water system.

These parts are in heaps of different makes of boat so don't worry about lack of spares.

I have sailed on numerous major makes of boats and the build quality of the Bavarias is the best by far.
