Just renewed mine through GJW in Liverpool at a cost of £237. This is for fully comprehensive cover on a 2002 B36 covered For all of British Isles and Ireland and from Elbe to Brest for a season between 1 April to 31 October on a swinging mooring and laid up onshore over winter period. There was a small reduction in premium of around £10 this year, and is based on an insured value of £45000.

For my 2015 B33 value £110,000 premium is £490 with Y Yacht Insurance. Be aware that there has been a big shakeup in yacht insurance over the last couple of years - my premium went up by nearly £100 last year - so worth shopping around, but look carefully at the actual cover you are being offered. Y is on the expensive end because it offers arguably the best policy.

1999 Bav 35E.  $780 USD here in Seattle, Washington.  Liability and loss to the stated value, but 10% per year from 20th year in service as a reduction in payout on partial damage claims.  So if a claim were 20k, they'd reduce it by 2k b/c we are in the 20th year from production/service of the boat.

Even though the policy just renewed, I will be shopping for another that doesn't deduct 10% per year on payouts representing depreciation for an older boat.   It's interesting that the insurer doesn't depreciate the full amount if it were a total write off, only for amounts less than that.  I'd like to be enlightened as to the logic of that.  We've been lucky, though, in that the premium has been steady for the past 3 years even considering we had a claim.

It sounds high, but you haven't said what the sum insured is, and the bulk of UK yacht insurance premiums is proportional to the sum insured.

This year, I'm paying £500 for £145K sum insured, plus £3million third party, some personal effects and personal accident cover.

My policy is with Argo Syndicate 1200 at Lloyd's, arranged through Nautical Insurance Services in Southend.

Also depends on cruising area. Ours (Pantaenius) went up every time we extended that.
