"Still Smiling" after the tide went out !

Overheard "Yacht Nevermind" trying to cancel a mistakenly triggered DSC distress alert. Very confusing radio conversation. Coastguard man remained admirably calm.

Sold my beloved and first keeler yacht "Rozinante" many years ago. New owner renamed her "Far Call" with full intent of the double meaning. I was not impressed!

I remember "Poetry in Ocean", a large plastic Sinseeker around the IOW area many years ago. Naff (but quite clever) name and I lived in hope of Solent CG asking for it to be spelled out phonetically.

Many years ago, a Friend's father-in-law bought a new boat and wanted it ready for a yacht race starting at 10.00am on Saturday.
The boat, a trailer/sailor only arrived on the truck at 3.00PM on Friday afternoon.
The whole crew were assembled and allocated tasks to step the mast, bend on the sails, fit out the interior etc..
One crew member was instructed to go to the hardware store and get any sign, lettering or what-ever so that any name could be placed on the boat in accordance with the race rules.
As a result the boat became called "BEWARE OF THE DOG"

Two boat names we have seen one is still in our marina. "4 Cov" is in port solent and "Hoof-Hearted" used to sail the solent. Interestingly I have never heard them call up.

When we bought her our boat was ( and still is ) called " Wish ".
Repeat that three times and it can sound like interference
