I recently purchased a new-to-me 2001 40 foot Bavaria AC (2 berth/2 head) cruiser. Awesome boat to cruise around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Does anyone have a manual/spec on this exact boat? I've been searching around the net without much luck, and the previous owner does not seem to have one.

Hi Erik,
I am pretty much in the same situation - my first season with 2001 Bavaria 40 AC (3 cabin-model) in the Baltic Sea - what a magnificient boat!
My boat has the operators manual, so I can scan the relevant pages and send after the next visit to the boat.
What length is your boat? I believe much of the details in the manual are specific to the model.

My boat is, also, 40 feet. I just updated my original posting. Thanks!

You may be able to get a manual in PDF form from the Bavaria factory. Quote the HIN number.

If you have no luck with Bav, let me know. I have a 2001 a/c and a manual. But it's on the boat. Give me a couple of weeks and I can scan a copy when next on board.

Tried Bavaria USA - no luck. Earlier today I then tried Bavaria in Germany and will give them a few days to respond.

Probably won't get a reply for a couple of weeks. Germany (like much of Europe except UK) tends to shut down for August!

Visited my boat this morning and realized the manual is in German language. Furthermore my scanner refused to scan more than 12 pages in one file...
However, please find the first part of the manual with most of the specs and deck layouts. Furthermore I included the electrics / wiring section from the latter part.
If you see something in the table of contents you'd like to receive - just ask and I'll scan that section as well.
Note - the type plate at least in my boat shows max 12 persons day-cruising, instead of max 8 in A-class as the manual would suggest.

Do you know the size of the fuel and fresh water tanks?

As far as I remember, you should have 2 x 150ltr water tanks and 1 x 150 ltr for fuel.

It's also cast into the tank tops, so you can just lift the boards and read it off :)

I have the 2 berth/2 head Bav 40 2001 owner manual.
Please reply if you want a copy made

Mine are water 2 x 150l and fuel 1 x 150l as seen in manual and approximately verified while filling up.

Bavaria Germany responded and sent me the owners manual!
Attaching here in case it can be useful to anyone else. Thanks to those who responded to me.

Bavaria Germany responded and sent me the owners manual!
Thank you Erik, can you tell me the route you took to ask for it please?
I've revised the Downloads (http://www.bavariayacht.info/downloads.htm) section of this site to include this manual. I will post a new thread where further Owner Manuals can be uploaded.

Super awesome! Thanks for uploading! We've got a Bavaria 40, 2002 (twin cabin) and this manual is very helpful! Thanks!
p.s. we are in San Francisco Bay too, but leaving very shortly to head further south.
