Title: Engine parts
Post by: John G on July 14 2023, 20:32
Having just bought a 2006 Bavaria 30 cruiser can someone suggest the best place to get engine parts such as fuel and oil filters , toilet service kit and general Bavaria  parts

Congrats!

Engine parts from whoever made your engine, usually Volvo, in some cases also Perkins. Also check out Parts4engines and Keypart.

General chandlery (toilet spares etc.) from any chandler, local or online.

Bavaria specific parts from SVB24.

You will have a Volvo D1 30 which is essentially a Perkins. Oil and fuel filters are readily available either from Volvo dealers or equivalent from filter manufacturers. Personally I always use Volvo because the difference in cost if you only change once a year is small. However if you do a large number of hours then find an alternative source from a Perkins dealer or a good brand like Mann.

Most of the equipment like the Jabsco toilet is from well known international manufacturers and most are readily available from good chandlers or on line suppliers. SVB24 for most Bavaria specific parts and you can always ask here if you have difficulty in identifying parts and their source.
