Title: Tandem Keels V fin
Post by: stevem on January 27 2012, 16:15
Hi, I have just joint this forum as I am in the market for a 38 or 37 cruiser. They both look lovely boats and the interior layouts both have pluses and minuses. The 37 however, has the tandem keel and I am keen to find out from any owners what their thoughts are on the matter and also observations on both the boats generally.

Congratulations on the administrator for his efforts in getting this forum off the ground

Stevem

Hello stevem,

Not sure what you mean with tandem keels????  I looked at the Bav site and found not underwater photos.  Unless you can provide more visual info, we are also blind!

Welcome aboard.

Hi Stevem,

We sail a Bav 33 with the tandem keel and we really like it.

The draft is shoal and we draw 1.4mtrs only, which is great for us.

Another bonus is the boat is easy to manouver,

Hope this helps

Andy

Thanks for the info Andy, However things have moved on pretty quickly and today I put a deposit down on a Baveria 38 with the standard fin keel. Cannot wait to get her and start sailing.
