I recently replaced my fire extinguishers in my B34 .
Close by there are a pair of X fire men who do the recharging and seem to know their stuff, which was good for me. as an airline pilot for a job has made me really paranoid about fire.
:The german Bavarian ones don't meet Australian standards with no gauge.
:The action of the boat has made the extinguisher powder compact in the bottom of the bottle. If this happens they won't work. To
fix it, every 6 months give it a good whack with a rubber mallet while upside down. You will then feel the weight of the powder move down the bottle freely, indicating that they are ok.
Finally, in my opinion, a wet chemical type for the galley , much better for cooking fires than dry powder . especially for the clean up after the event. Dry powder is not kind to electrical components.
