Emergency Tiller Circular White Cover

Hi,

The screw in cover for the access to the emergency tiller on my B38 was broken when I brought the boat.  I purchased a similar cover from my local chandlers however the moulding inside is different and makes contact with the top of the rudder stock.  I've been in touch with Clipper Marine however they advise these are no longer available.  Has anyone else changed theirs at all?

Hi Simon,
I have changed mine also. However the old one didn't also fit well. In the new one I had to cut a section of maybe 60 mm diameter. This causes that part of the 2 lowered sections are cut off. The high center is still closed. The main reason for the cut out is that the rudder stock on my boat is not centric to the cover. The cover I mounted is I believe a Plastimo.
