Main sheet traveler line mod
« on: February 08 2015, 16:51 »
I would like to improve the locking of my B32 coach roof traveler by installing a clam cleat nearer the rope clutches. Problem is mounting the cleats near the hatch without access to the underside. Anyone done such a mod or has alternative suggestion's?

I found the traveller camcleats very poorly secured into timber and fibreglass at the sliding top entry. I had made a simple stainless bridge to which the clam cleat is secured; the bridge is secured to the cabintop fibreglass by screws and screws into the timber rails on each side of the companionway. When my traveller finally dies, I'm going to replace it with a vectran strop
