I have started this link to find out what member has done to modify their boats and how they achieved the finished job, or if they have a modification that was on the boat when purchased.
I am very lucky to be able to sail for 6 month a year and so have the time to carry out the necessary work making life better on board. So the list below is what I have completed and hope you gain from my time. However I am more interested in your modifications.
? Anti freeze bolt issue, the bolt fitted to Volvo engines cannot be undone to drain the antifreeze as it's a square head recessed. I have had long discussions with the Volvo rep who in the end agreed and made me a socket. If you still have green paint on yours then it has not had a proper antifreeze change.
? 1 kW Inverted, I have fitted this under the chart table and is a great tool to drive electric tools etc.

? Seasafe anti corrosion system, this is a system that protects your boat from stray currents when in the proximity of other vessels, put safesure into Google.

? Roll down window in spray hood, Zip put into spray hood that rolls down, not up, rolling up is a pain.

? Safety line on stern infill, how many of you have lost the stern infill overboard???

? Gas struts on saloon locker seat, no more juggling to get things out the locker.

? Modified enclosure, probably the best mod we have done. With the aid of CJ textiles we draw up what we wanted and all folds back for sailing.

? Pockets for ropes in the dodgers, large pockets in the aft end of dodgers so we can stow all the ropes and other parts in still rigged for easy use. Centre pocket as well.

? Fridge modifications, insulation and extra fan fitted.

? Blue stripe , stops all the polishing and stays bright.

? Rollers on stern, so the dinghy can ride over without getting caught up.

? Anti gibe shackle, for the cost of £6.50
?
? Motor and dinghy lift, fitted a Handy Billy on the back stay.
?
? Solar panel, purchased from China £120.
?
? Over the side anode, linked up all of the negative systems through the engine and gearbox to a through bolt out of the stern both sides, one zinc for salt and one Magnesium for fresh.

? Horn, saves shouting.
