Bilge Paint?
« on: June 12 2016, 10:49 »
I need to touch-up a few areas of bilge paint. I know it doesn't matter, but I would like to match the grey colour. So do I choose:

  • International Danboline
  • Blakes (Hempel)
  • Epifanes

Any of them. They are all similar formulations. I used Blakes(Hempel) last time.

Fairly sure the original isn't paint, but flowcoat. Which is a two part polyester resin that is applied with a brush and contains wax so results in a cured, smooth surface.

Something much like this (no idea if it's an exact match for the Bavaria grey): http://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/p-1279-grey-flow-coat-top-coat-inclusive-of-catalyst.aspx
