Water trapped in anchor locker New Bavaria Cruiser 33
« on: September 07 2014, 20:01 »
I have a new Cruiser 33 .
While marking the anchor chain I had occasion to remove all the chain from locker.  I found quite a lot of water trapped in the area below the 2 drain holes meaning the anchor chain continually lays in salt water . It would appear to be the way it has been designed
Does anybody else have this problem and has anybody any suggestions.
I have considered filling this area with foam and then glassing in a false floor shaped so any water runs out of the drain holes and cannot be trapped .
I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

Regards Tony

Its on the forum, my suggestion is as per photo, I used some left over plastic fascia cut to shape of locker to hold the chain out of the water.

Maybe put a layer of construction foam, which they use to set door and window frames. No to much though it expands!!
