Volvo 55 hp engine air filter

The air filter on my 2003 55hp engine had fell to bits ,its only sponge.
Ordered a new filter and while I waited for it to be sent to the dealer I used a ladies stocking seemed to do the job perfectly OK. I got a shock when the replacement arrived. £33!!!

When that one needs replacing I will use an old stocking again.

Thanks for this post as I happened to check ours the other day after reading this and the filter started to fall apart in my hands. I rigged up a temporary one using the foam filter $4 from a shop vac
