Battery light on volvo dash
« on: April 17 2014, 23:41 »
If the bulb in the dash battery warning light fails will this stop the battery from charging? My alternator is putting out 14 volts, but they are not getting to the battery; any idea of the cause?

If the warning light fails, it may prevent the alternator from getting an excitation voltage, but that doesn't seem to be your problem.

New bulb fitted to the warning light. I'll need to check the batteries again as I didn't have a meter with me.
