Engine Starting.
« on: April 15 2014, 15:42 »
Hi All,
Since last season my 2005 Volvo 2030 starts first time, 2/3 seconds later stalls, every time.
If I turn all power off then restart it starts and runs nicely.
I have done a fuel filter change and checked all connection's.
Any idea why it stalls after starting so well!!
 Thanks.

Sounds like fuel starvation. Once started, it should run forever until you shut off the fuel. You may have air ingress near, but not at, the injectors. Residual fuel in the lines will allow an initial start but air in the system will then stall the engine before the fuel pump can compensate. Obvious checks are the filters and bleed screw.
