B36 Drawer Module in Galley
« on: June 29 2015, 19:07 »
I want to take out the drawer module on my 2004 B36, It is under the galley sink and it looks like a pre made cabinet that slides in and has attaching screws on the sides,I want to add additional insulation to the refrigerator and that seems the likely place to start,Has anyone ever taken it out ?     Thanks , Ed

Someone else on this forum mentioned that they used a spray foam, and they drilled holes through the sides and bottom of the fridge from the inside, and through which the spray foam was then squirted. Finally they fitted those white plastic caps, that you get with self assembly furniture to cover the ends of screws, into the holes and that was it, job done, and an inside job at that !
Much simpler than pulling the furniture apart, and for which my advice would be - Don't.

Ha! Knowing my luck, I'd end up with little mounds of expanded foam under the holes but in the bilges. Good idea though, Salty.
