Washboard storage on B32. 2003
« on: April 07 2014, 16:14 »
The washboard on my B32 is a single piece lump difficult to store. Has anyone had theirs cut in half for easier storage?

Yes, mine has been cut in two, horizontally with the cutter at a 45 degree angle.

We stuck a bolt on the bottom half, so we can have that in and locked so it doesn't fall out.

We still use the same storage thing for it, and just put the bottom bit into the holder, and then slot the top half in behind it.

It does make life a lot easier when it's in 2 bits.

Hi IslandAlchemy,

As I have also a B32 of 2004 without a specific storage place/system I'm curious to know how and where you store your washboard when not in use.
Btw mine is also cut in two at a 45° angle, of which the lower part is approx. 25 cm in height with a little bolt mounted for fixing it in position in the sliding rail.
Thanks for providing more info about your "holder" and its location on board.

My boat is a 49, and it has a wooden holder built-in to the engine cover in the stbd aft cabin.
