Hi there one and all!

I would be really grateful for any information on a full anode kit to suite my boat (in order to get them 'in hand' before lifting out for the first time)... both original part numbers and of course for any recommendations for alternative manufacturers and part numbers that you may also rate.

The propeller fitted is a Volvo Penta three blade folding prop (blade kit  LH 3583392 18 X 15)... it has a two part anode by the rope cutter, and a three part anode on the prop.  Not sure whether there is an anode on the bow thruster, so any help or advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks  :tbu

You need a modified anode for your saildrive available from www.ropestripper.com The prop anodes are from a Volvo dealer. Don't know about the bow thruster. Best to contact the maker for advice.

If you have a side-power thruster, can find more info here:

Also, will need to know which saildrive model you have before you order one from the rope stripper company, I found out the hard way!

I have a rope cutter on my saildrive 130, you have to mill the anode out, my mate has a precision engineering company and he done the milling for me, your prop won't fit unless it's milled out.

Hi All,

Many thanks for your comments to date... I have been unable to respond earlier and didn't want to appear ungrateful!

I will get to work investigating your advice.

Excellent bit of information, I have never looked at my thruster anode, so thanks for the reminder
