Fresh water tank in Bavaria 30

Good morning,
Our leak is in the water tank.  Checked all hoses and connections by external substitutions. Then drained the tank. No water now. In Fort Lauderdale and then Stuart. The tank is some kind of heavy plastic. What is it made of?  What sealant could be used?  Do you have a recommendation of a firm or person to do the work?  Thank you for your assistance.

I would be very surprised if the tank itself is leaking. Having drained the tank, any leak in the connections or hoses will also stop, so that is not definitive.

I can't remember exactly what it looks like now, but surely there is only one connection that is near the bottom (the outlet). I would expect the main filler and the breather to be near/at the top. Dry everything very thoroughly, including under the tank if possible. Sprinkle talcum powder on all available surfaces. Refill the tank and try to trace the source of water that way.

The tank is rotationally moulded polythene. It can be repaired by welding, but you obviously need to find a specialist and you will need to remove the tank to find out where the damage is.

Hi Irouda if you are heading to Stuart there is the Hinckley yard up there. A friend of ours had some work done and he was happy with both the price and the workmanship.

Put a shut off valve on tank. Mopped til dry. No leak. Agreed. Not main tank. Relief. So it is an invisible hose. All of the connections are dry. Did not have correct equipment to pressurize each hose individually. Now at American Custom Yachts in Stuart. Some testing by us tomorrow. Then turn it iver to the experts. Amazing how little water you can use to survive when water is a real commodity. Maybe we should all have to haul our water to really appreciate it. Thanks to all responders.

Visited Hinckley a week ago. Nice place. Nice location.  But more restrictions than Acy. Both have 24 hour guards. At acy can live aboard as prep boat. Or live in camper as prep boat. No extra charges. No nickel and diming.
