The sail is from my Bavaria 40 Cruiser, built in 2009 (model year 2010), and was first hoisted in 2014.
It’s a Dacron battened mainsail from Elvstrøm with four battens, two reef points, and the following specifications:
Length overall 40
I = 15200
J = 4350
P = 14050
E = 4900
Area = 40.6 m²
Due to its packed size, shipping by mail is not possible. The battens, in particular, are quite cumbersome, although they can be bent enough to fit in the trunk of a station wagon (see photo: sail and battens in the trunk with the rear seats folded down).
The sail is in a condition appropriate for its age. I’d say it’s better than having no sail at all :-)
The mast sliders, including all shackles, are included.
