Bavaria 36 Jib furling line
« on: October 10 2024, 17:43 »
Where the heck is the jib furling line supposed to run?
I have a 2003 Bavaria 36.
There is one block attached at the pulpit, then the fairlead and cleat aft of the winch.
Where should it go in-between?
Thanks in advance.

it runs through a slot in the stanchion base. Works OK but better to use stanchion fairleads from Harken, Selden, Spinlock, Barton etc.

I found running the furling line through the stanchion base slots produced a lot of friction and dirt on the line. Fitting stanchion fairleads 100mm up was much better together with a cam cleat/right angle block aft.
