Engine Instrument Panel
« on: June 02 2024, 10:06 »
I don't like the way our (boats 2000 era) Volvo instrument panel is fitted.

First of all the panel itself is made out of plastic and the hole for the screws are too close to the corners so if you tighten usually the whole corner brake.

Second it's too exposed to elements and shocks

So I ordered a new one, I cut out a 2 mm fibre glass panel and glued it on the back side, I also glued a rubber gasket and finally I made a polycarbonate cover.

I should move upwards the T-bar of the engine choke but for the moment I have access to all the buttons
